A round up of all matches played in the UEFA champions league on Tuesday night, 23 October.

In the biggest fixture of the night, Juventus took full control of Group H with a 1-0 victory over Manchester United in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night.

With the pre-match hype surrounding the return of Cristiano Ronaldo to Old Trafford, it promised to be a feisty affair.

Juve made all the earlier attacking, with Ronaldo, Paolo Dybala and Miralem Pjanic seeing loads of the ball.

Dybala silenced the home crowd with a nicely tucked near post conversion after Juan Cuadrado’s initial effort went south on 17 minutes.

Guillaume Hoarau popped in a second half penalty to cancel out Michy Batshuayi’s opener as Young Boys drew with Valencia in the same group H

In Group G, Real Madrid returned to winning ways as they squeezed past Viktoria Plzen with a 2-1  victory.

Karim Benzema and Marcelo put Los Blancos in the clear, before the minnows made it nervy with what proved to be no more than a second half consolation.

Surprise pool leaders CSKA Moscow were thrashed by Roma in the other match, with Edin Dzeko twice on target in the Italian capital to leave qualification wide open.

Manchester City are firmly back on track in Group F with a 3-0 thumping of Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine.

David Silva, Aymeric Laporte and Bernardo Silva did the damage to avenge last season’s sole group defeat.

French side Lyon kept their noses in front at the top thanks to an exciting draw at Hoffenheim.

Memphis Depay thought he’d struck the decisive goal for the French side, only for their German counterparts to pull level in the 92nd minute.

Bayern Munich did enough to ease past AEK Athens in one of two early Champions League kick offs on Tuesday night.

Robert Lewandowski and Javi Martinez scored after the break in Group E.

Elswhere,  Noussair Mazraoui struck an injury time winner for Ajax against Benfica.
