Decrying the appalling state of Education in South Africa,  the minister of Basic Education Angie Motshekga the Department of Education with require R10billion to replace basic facilities in schools and re-position schools in good stead.

In her summation, the inequality of the past is again hunting the school system.

Another impediment  is sexual harassment  and assault of school children by teachers, of which there is an ongoing debate about.

It was also observed that before 1994 Bantu Education was on a healthy footing, but apparently after 25 years Education seem to have gone to the sewage.

She was alleged to have noted in a closing remark:

“We know we have messed the education system up since 1994. We will need billions of rands  more years to fix it”, . ')}
