Five people escaped injury after the bakkie their were travelling in plummeted down an embankment on the R102 near the Canelands robots this morning (Friday).
At approximately 09:23 one of the passengers arrived on foot at Reaction Unit South Africa offices in Verulam requesting assistance.
He explained that while travelling from Ndwedwe to Kwamashu their bakkie hit a water patch which resulted in the driver losing control.
The bakkie then left the road and crashed through the metal barrier before it plummeted down an embankment. Reaction Officers and Medics were dispatched to the scene and upon arrival found the GWM Steed at the base of the embankment.
