Mamelodi Sundowns ended their Absa Premiership 2017/2018 campaign with a point after they were held to a 0-0 draw by Bloemfontein Celtic.
The Brazilians secured the league title in the penultimate round of matches and were looking to end the season in style.
Celitc, on the other hand, were chasing a top spot although their fate was not in their hands.
It was the visitors who enjoyed most of the possession in the early stages, although both sides were let down by the crossing and passing in the final third.
Celtic managed to carve out the game’s first chance, although an un-marked Shikweni sent his header straight at goalkeeper Kennedy Mweene.
Pitso Mosimane’s men dominated possession for most of the first half, but they struggled to carve out chances as Jeremy Brockie cut a frustrated figure at times.
Sundowns seemed to happy to claim a point as they lacked urgency going forward, while Celtic threw numbers forward in search of a winning goal.
In the end, neither side could find a winning goal and they were forced to settle for a share of the spoils.
