EFF leader Julius Malema has once again found something he can blame apartheid for.
Speaking in Durban on Tuesday afternoon, the EFF leader told South Africans to vote wisely this coming election. “Look now, our houses are destroyed by floods. Apartheid caused KZN floods! Black child, vote wisely this coming election”, he said.
Malema then promised South Africans that if he becomes president, there will be no more floods in South Africa, “we will eradicate floods and other natural disasters when we take over”, he said.
Malema blamed everything else that is wrong in the world on poor apartheid before stepping off the podium, “apartheid caused listeria, Game of Thrones, global warming, Idols on DSTV, load shedding and French fries. Let’s eradicate it on the 8th of May”.
The death toll in the KwaZulu-Natal floods has however climbed to “about” 70.
KZN acting Premier Sihle Zikalala made the announcement at a media briefing on Thursday morning.
Zikalala indicated that final figures will be released later in the day.
“It is a situation that is worrying,” Zikalala said.
“It is the first time in KwaZulu-Natal that we lose people in this greater number.”
Torrential rains lashed the province earlier this week resulting in damage to housing infrastructure and roads.
Zikalala said government will be preparing assistance for those affected by the floods.
He said assistance will include providing dignified funerals for the deceased and arranging accommodation and clothing for those who have been displacedhttps://newsoweto.co.za/apartheid-caused-kzn-floods-black-child-vote-wisely-this-coming-election-malema/https://newsoweto.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/EFF-Malema-1024x768.jpghttps://newsoweto.co.za/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/EFF-Malema-150x150.jpgPolitics
